What's the Deal With My Hair?

My hair has been THROUGH IT. From a crazy lady who accidentally gave me purple highlights (and I hate purple) to me dying it jet black and bleach white, I have been guilty of neglecting my hair. 👀
Basically, my hair was damaged, beaten up, and tired.
In August of 2017, I took a new type of chance. I booked an appointment with Marissa Pusateri. After countless people told me to see her, I gave in. Immediately, I knew I was in the right place as soon as I met her.
For reference, This was after Marissa and I's first appointment back in 2017.

Now, a little background on why I think Marissa is so great. I could go on for hours. LOL. But, my first ever post on this website/blog was about my transition to healthier hair.
Marissa has been doing hair for only 4 years, yet has accomplished so much. Along with being a bad-ass hairstylist, she is an educator with Framesi and is a social media influencer with them to boot. 💁🏼
This year, this amazing girl started doing independent education for salons all over. That is right, she is international. 💇🏼
I brag on Marissa a ton, but every one else does too. She was published in Modern Salon's magazine in 2019 for "2019 Modern Salon 100" & was chosen for@beautylaunchpad "Top 30 Under 30 Colorists" for 2018.
Back then, I had extremely damaged hair that was over bleached and just sad. The driest hair you ever saw/felt. Not to mention, yellow. 🤮
Flash forward to 2020.
Now, after 2 & 1/2 years of Marissa's blessings. My hair has a healthy relationship with oils and styling (with the proper hair products, of course). I can straighten my hair without that crazy crunch noise 😱 (yep, I said it).
Here is a small update from my most recent visit with Marissa back in February.
Before
Grown out color, yellow/brassy, needs a trim

After

The Breakdown
Lifted hair using @framesiusa Decolor b cream for a full head balayage+babylite+face frame
Toned with Framesi Framcolor Eclectic Care 9.16 at the sink hitting the areas that were lightened first then pulling through the ends before shampooing
I think more people need to appreciate the talent it takes to do hair. I am so thankful to have such a gifted hairstylist, let alone one I call a friend. If you are in the Pittsburgh/Greensburg/Irwin area and want to change your hair for the better, you know who to book. 💇🏼📍 ✂️

I hope you guys liked this post! Or used it as a wake up call to find hair stylist that is top quality. I wish I had gone to get my hair fixed sooner. 😫
Over the past couple years everyone can tell my hair has transformed, especially those who see it in person. I think it is important to give credit where credit is due! Support your friends. Especially the dedicated ones. 🎉💕
